Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute is a single specialty orthopedic hospital. We are physician owned, with 17 Inpatient Unit beds with 8 state-of-the-art surgical suites. We have been serving the Kansas City area for 25 years. Our Radiology department supports our hospital, practices, and urgent care and provides quality diagnostic x-rays for those departments as directed by the physicians. We’re seeking a Radiology Manager to join our dedicated team that focuses on delivering exceptional outcomes and outstanding patient experience.
The Radiology Manager collaborates with radiologists, technologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to maintain high-quality patient care standards while managing budgets, staffing, equipment procurement and maintenance, and regulatory compliance. Other core responsibilities include:
· Staff Supervision: Overseeing and directing the work of radiographers, mammographers, and other radiology staff.
· Operational Management: Managing the daily operations of the radiology department, including scheduling, workflow, and problem-solving.
· Staffing: Hiring, training, and evaluating staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels, and resolving HR issues.
· Equipment Oversight: Ensuring proper functioning of radiology equipment, including maintenance, calibration, and periodic testing.
· Quality Control: Implementing and monitoring quality assurance programs and procedures.
· Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring adherence to safety regulations, ethical standards, and other relevant guidelines.
· Patient Care: Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients, addressing patient concerns, and promoting patient satisfaction.
· Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements to optimize workflow, reduce errors, and enhance patient care.
· Budget Management: Developing and managing the radiology department's budget.
· Communication: Communicating effectively with staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
· Patient Record Maintenance: Ensuring accurate and complete patient records.

Requirements:
· 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
· Bachelor’s Degree, Graduate of accredited radiological technologist program preferred.
· 5-year minimum radiologic technology experience.
· 3-year minimum supervisory experience required.
