Position – Medical Office Receptionist
Job Description: RRC is looking for a medical office receptionist. The Medical Office Receptionist will greet patients, activate patient files, and move patients through a pre-determined schedule of appointments at the physician's office. This person should have a strong background in verifying insurance benefits and be comfortable communicating those to the patients and collecting due fees and copayments at the time of service.
For RRC's care model, it is pertinent that the medical office receptionist is patient, friendly, personable, welcoming, and a professional individual. We are open to training the right individual if the applicant lacks experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Welcomes patients and visitors to the medical office by greeting patients and visitors in person and on the telephone and answering inquiries or referring questions to other staff members.
Schedules appointments for the physicians and physician assistants to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and the most effective use of examining and treatment rooms. Prepares a daily schedule of examinations for each provider.
Maintains patient records and accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Endeavors to keep patients on schedule by reminding providers of service delays.
Maintains reception area, waiting room, etc., in a neat and orderly condition.
Assists patients with insurance papers and billing questions.
Have knowledge and experience in verifying and explaining Insurance benefits to patients.
Responsible for collecting copays and other fees due for the treatment.
Sorts office mail. Delivers outgoing mail to the post office at the end of the day.
Participates in the medical office emergency routine when required. Summons ambulance or EMS or assists other staff members as needed.
Protects patients’ rights by maintaining the confidentiality of all information
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing set goals.
Provides administrative assistance to clinical and other administrative staff.
Open to other duties that the leadership may assign.

Job Description: The Office Administrator will oversee the office's general administrative function and activities. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to enhancing patient experience, quality assurance, and improvement processes, financial management, appropriate staffing strategies, policy implementation, and practice communication.
In addition to administrative and operations support, the Office Administrator should be a strategic partner to the leadership.
