    · Identify key indicators of healthy and unhealthy balance, including early signs of burnout that impact leadership effectiveness.

    · Apply practical strategies - such as boundary setting, intentional calendar management, delegation, and daily resilience tools - to promote leader and team well-being.

The Nuts and Bolts of Effective Legislative Advocacy

    Session Summary:

We cannot expect our elected officials to know everything.  In fact, sometimes it feels like they don't understand your practice or industry at all.  It doesn't have to be this way.  Medical practice leaders can play a critical role in shaping the policies that directly impact patient care, practice operations, and the sustainability of healthcare delivery. Legislative advocacy provides an opportunity to move beyond reacting to regulatory changes and instead actively influence the decisions being made at the state and federal levels. By building relationships with elected officials, sharing real-world insights from the front lines of healthcare, and engaging through professional organizations like MGMA, leaders can ensure that policymakers understand both the challenges and opportunities within medical practice. Whether through attending advocacy days, providing testimony, or simply maintaining ongoing communication with legislators, even small efforts can have a meaningful impact in advancing policies that support patients, providers, and the broader healthcare system.

Leading the Shift: Navigating Change with Purpose and Power

    Session Summary:

Healthcare leaders are navigating an era defined by rapid transformation, value-based care adoption, workforce instability, digital disruption, and shifting patient expectations. Yet, despite significant investment in strategy and innovation, up to 70% of organizational change initiatives fail due to poor adoption, misaligned culture, and ineffective leadership execution.

This session introduces a pragmatic, evidence-based framework for leading sustainable change in healthcare organizations by integrating established change management models with real-world operational leadership strategies.

Participants will explore three foundational pillars:

    1. Vision & Communication - Translating strategy into clarity that drives alignment
    2. Stakeholder Engagement - Activating physicians, staff, and leadership teams
    3. Sustainable Implementation - Embedding change into culture, operations, and performance systems

Through real-world case applications from interdisciplinary environments, attendees will gain actionable tools to overcome resistance, align cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable outcomes.

This session moves beyond theory, equipping leaders with practical frameworks, communication strategies, and implementation tactics that can be immediately applied within their organizations.
