June 22 2022 CMS SERIES - 2nd Session Date: Wednesday, June 22, 2022 Time: Noon to 1:00pm NO COST EVENT - Members & Guests "Introduction to the CMS Behavioral Strategy" (presentation and listening session) Presenter: Dr. Rick Wild Dr. Rick Wild will be presenting in June. The planned information Michelle Wineinger had planned has not yet been released by CMS. Michelle found a replacement with a very interesting topic (a "first" opportunity). Dr. Rick Wild, Chief Medical Office for the CMS Atlanta Regional Office, will be introducing the newly released CMS Behavioral Strategy and its implications for practicing physicians, clinicians, and other practice groups. NOTE: This is also your opportunity to be one of the first groups to provide reactions, concerns, and suggestions on the new strategy to CMS. The short presentation will be followed by an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on the strategy, or anything else CMS-related. He believes this topic is more timely and valuable to you (and to CMS). He is active in the Regional Opioid policy advisory group as well as a behavioral health work group and said the CMS Behavioral Strategy has just been released to the public. Dr. Wild will present on this and then open the majority of the meeting to listen to the participants reactions, concerns, and suggestions. He thought that given the ongoing work and priorities on behavioral health, substance and opioid use disorder (SUD and OUD), and health equity, etc. that this would be a wonderful opportunity to listen to concerns and reactions as this cross cutting strategy will have implications for all practicing physicians and other clinicians and practice groups. Michelle Wineinger added, "This will be great for your members to have. I’m excited for your members to have this opportunity to be one of the first to provide feedback on the strategy."
