         Speaker: Kerri Burchill, PhD

Kerri serves as President of North Star Coaching, her independent consulting company that focuses on helping leaders slow down to go fast. In addition to coaching, Kerri’s work includes designing and implementing leadership development programs, training accredited coaches, facilitating difficult conversations, increasing accountability through team building activities, and consulting on organizational initiatives.

About 15 years ago Kerri and her partner Keith felt that their life was a bit too comfortable, so they positioned themselves to stretch. They made some decisions that resulted in working in three countries, six cities, and nine different jobs.

In all of these roles, Kerri saw leaders spinning and fighting fires all day, rarely getting to their leadership work. Kerri built on her observations serving and working with leaders internationally, plus the concepts she captured in her peer-reviewed publications and academic research to develop the ASKhole® Framework.

Kerri trains leaders on avoiding the ASKhole® framework as a tool to help leaders slow down to go fast. She delivers keynote speeches and provides individual and team coaching.

Today, Kerri lives in San Antonio with the best decision of her life and a very spoiled dog.

Employee Retention and the First 3 Months

The first three months in a new job are a make-it or break-it and that is where leaders need to find out how the employee is doing and feeling (when the employee is often reluctant to share).  Participants will walk away with strategies to help retain employees.

Objectives:

  1. To analyze the first three months of employment and its correlation to employee retention
  2. To develop strategies to assess employees’ experiences in the first three months
  3. To practice skills to real examples
